STUDENT MEMBER FEE APPROVED -- you can join online just below....
The FCN Board of Directors at their July meeting unanimously approved a
student membership fee of $10. This is the first membership fee change in many years and signals the Board's interest in and focus on younger members
of our community. The motion, offered by Don CaKllahan and seconded by Billy
Wooten, followed a suggestion by Wooten and others that a lower membership
fee for students be considered. "We are starting to see a real energy
focused on issues near and dear to FCN from students at Armstrong, SCAD,
and even local high scools", stated Wooten. "Many of these kids are not
working or having to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. We need to
make it possible for them to be a part of FCN; voting members who can be
considered for positions of leadership." The new student membership goes
into effect immediately. |
The Savannah Gay and Lesbian Community Police Collaborative SGLCPC website is now up and running. People can submit reports to the collaborative thru the web form.

There will be an annual meeting of the membership of FCN on Saturday October 2nd at 8:30PM as part of the 25th Anniversary First Saturday Social.
This meeting is required by our by laws, which say: An annual meeting of the membership shall be held each year, on a date and at a site to be determined by the Board of Directors no less than 30 days prior to the date of such a meeting. Notice or waiver of notice of such a meeting shall be provided to the membership no less than 21 days prior to such meeting. |
